Quite frankly, when the specification is in the public domain and fully open source there is nothing &quot;proprietary&quot; about it.  

For an example of what even a tiny amount of real proprietary code will do, have a look at the Firefox/IceWeazle controversy.  Seriously, if OGG was in *any* an issue, we&#039;d be hearing these same sort of OSS complaints regarding it.  We don&#039;t because it doesn&#039;t exist even at the ridiculously low threshold that created the Firefox trouble.

Also in news this week, Nokia is considering a revenue sharing model similar to Apple&#039;s.  Ouch.</description>
